Electronic format:
Reserve staff will scan and create electronic text for the following copyrighted materials:
  • journal articles
  • book excerpts, not to exceed standards established by copyright regulations

Reserve staff support permissions clearance, where appropriate, to create electronic text; for details please contact Abby Collier.

Photocopies/Course Packs/Books:

Requests to reserve photocopied materials will be reviewed; where permitted by copyright regulations, materials will be scanned for electronic access in preference to photocopies. When necessary, staff will reserve photocopies, in compliance with regulations, for access from Circulation's service counter. Please contact staff to review electronic versus photocopy access in more detail.

Materials assembled and bound into course packs will be reviewed individually according to the above guidelines.

In the case of long book excerpts that may not be eligible for electronic access, source books are reserved for access from Circulation in preference to photocopies.
