Reserve staff offer digital conversion of and remote access to many course materials. The
service's electronic format is available as pdf files from this web site; files are organized by
material type (e.g. readings, notes, exams), indexed under instructor, and listed alphabetically by
author. The files can be accessed from JHU computers, including workstations in the Eisenhower
Library's electronic resource classroom and the computing facility in Krieger. To access the files
from home or any non-JHU location, JHU users should follow set-up instructions available from
the Remote Access web site .
Reserve's electronic holdings include:
- published course materials: journal articles; book excerpts, not to exceed standards established by copyright regulations.
- unpublished materials: homework solutions, course notes, syllabi, and exams
To maximize quality, staff prefer to generate pdf documents from original print sources or other
electronic formats; photocopies are scanned only as a last resort.
Requests for electronic format must be made by course instructors and should include full citations.
